CHURCH NURSERY
Our Church Nursery offers a quiet room with a crib and rocking chairs for mothers and their newborns. The nursery includes a complete washroom, a change table, several toys, and a television screen for watching the service.
TODDLER CARE Ages 1-2 years
The Toddler Room is a supervised room for toddlers to be in during the Sunday service.
Vision Statement:
To provide a safe, loving and fun environment for children so that parents can participate in the Church service and other Church activities without concern for them. We also want to ensure that children’s church times are happy times and provide a foundation for their faith. As these are their first experiences with Church we want to make it a positive and enjoyable experience for them.
“Whoever welcomes one of these children in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me does not welcome me but the one who sent me.” Mark 9:37
Jesus placed so much importance on children. They are so precious to Him. We have such an important calling to receive, nurture, and treasure each child as a gift from God. High River Baptist Church values and honours our children. We want this to be a welcoming place for families with young children. We have such a privilege to care for the young in our Church.
Scope of Ministry:
The toddler nursery is open to children 1 – 2 years old. It has implemented a paging system so we can discreetly inform the parent if they need to return to the nursery. When you drop off your child and sign them in, you will pick up a numbered pager. If you are needed in the nursery, the volunteer staff in the nursery will beeper your pager. Sign your child out when it’s time to pick him/her up. Children will only be released to the parent or guardian who signed them in.
The nursery provides cookies for the children. If your child has a food allergy or any other special needs, please notify the nursery volunteer.
The nursery is equipped with colouring pages, a TV with Christian children’s’ videos (such as Veggie Tales) and plenty of toys and books to occupy our children.
We have a wonderful, caring and committed staff of adult and teen volunteers.
