Isaiah - "Turn To Me"

Written more than 600 years before the time of Christ, the book of Isaiah is considered to be one of the most significant books in the Old Testament. Second only to the book of Psalms in the number of times it is quoted in the New Testament, Isaiah is packed with theological wisdom, yet the prophet combines his description of the divine attributes of God with the historical narrative of the day to bring about practical application for the people, application that remains deeply relevant for us today. The central message is simple and clear. The Lord says, “Turn to me and be saved all you ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other” (45:22, NIV). As you read through this book, you cannot fail to see the overwhelming sovereignty of God, directing the hands of both the wicked and the righteous in order to bring about the salvation of His people, and the glory of His name.
