The 2024-2025 Sunday School Year
Our Sunday School classes usually run from 9:30-10:15am Sunday mornings before our morning worship services from September-May.
Sunday School Classes for 2024/2025 include:
-
-
- Preschool Class (Ages 3-5)
- Younger Kids Class (Grades 1-3)
- Older Kids Class (Grades 4-6)
- Junior Youth Class (Grade 7 & 8) in the Youth Room
- Senior Youth Class (Grade 9-12) in the Prayer Room
- Adult Class (in the Fellowship Hall) “Speaking Truth to a World Gone Wrong”
The world has abandoned the Biblical concept of truth, ethics and morality. Unfortunately, some of the world’s philosophy has also been adopted in the Church. This class will try to address what Christians need to do to prepare and learn how to speak Truth into the lives of friends in society, family and the Church. All are welcome! Join us in the Fellowship Hall.

Sunday School Vision Statement
“We support families in teaching boys and girls to know, love and serve the Lord Jesus Christ”
Scope of Ministry
The Sunday School ministry at HRBC reaches to all age groups from 3 years old to seniors. We want to augment, not replace, the privilege and responsibility of parents to teach each student who God is and the life to which He calls them. We are continuing in our use of the The Gospel Project curriculum for our younger age groups & including the Youth class. The Adult electives have included studies on themes and on a study of books of the Bible. We incorporate a number of adults as teachers with a broad range of experience.
We want to introduce all participants of Sunday School to the Lord Jesus Christ — to be God’s hands and feet in helping people understand who Jesus is and what He has done to make possible a relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
Our desire is to teach faithfully the Word of God and its principles, to help everyone regardless of age or stage of maturity to know God through His revelation of Himself — the Scriptures. Further, it is an opportunity for discipleship in that the teachers have the opportunity to help students grow in knowledge and in maturity in their faith. It is a discipleship model for teachers, too, in that while they teach they are learning, and growing in their own walk with the Lord. This helps them identify their gifts and prepare them further for works of ministry (Ephesians 4) and helps groom them for further responsibility in other ministries and leadership opportunities in the church.
Discipleship is for each follower of Christ, and discipleship is not complete without being a witness. We work to help everyone understand their faith and communicate it faithfully and accurately when opportunities to give witness about the Lord arise for everyone can tell of what Jesus has done in his or her own life!
